Thomas Punt joined Bureau Veritas because he wanted a job with autonomy and the possibility to work outdoors. He now enjoys working at the informal Rotterdam Port and the free time he gets from working in shifts, which he spends with his friends and at the gym.

What do you do at Bureau Veritas?
My name is Thomas, I am 28 years old, and I work as a Junior Inspector at Bureau Veritas.
What does a typical work day look like for you?
You never really know what the day will look like in advance. You work at different locations, and have many different tasks. You actually never know in the morning what the day will bring and that makes it interesting.
How do you find Bureau Veritas as an employer?
Bureau Veritas is a good employer where you have the room to develop yourself with many career and training opportunities.
What are the benefits as an Inspector?
In my role as Inspector, I get a company car with the option to also use it privately. You work in shifts that include allowances and a lot of free time.
What do you need to become an Inspector?
To become an Inspector at Bureau Veritas you don’t necessarily need any previous training. You just have to be motivated and Bureau Veritas can train you internally.
