INTRODUCING BUREAU VERITAS
Bureau Veritas is a global business-to-business service provider in the field of testing, inspection and certification, referred to as TIC services. CORE BUSINESS: TIC SERVICES
Our core business – testing, inspecting and certifying – focuses on ensuring the conformity of our clients' assets, products, infrastructure and business processes to customer specifications, national and international standards and relevant laws and regulations (compliance).
TESTING
Our testing and analysis work involves verification of conformity of products and goods to establish that their properties meet required requirements. The tests and analyses fall within the context of relevant requirements, standards, specifications and applicable laws and regulations. Tests are carried out in our laboratories and on location at clients, and are focused on production and process organisations, among others.
Bureau Veritas has a large, global network of laboratories equipped with advanced instruments and facilities in addition to specific, technical expertise. Due to the network's strategic location, our clients can easily and efficiently use our services from important ports and production sites.
INSPECTION
With the on-site inspections we carry out, we check whether products, services, assets and installations meet predetermined requirements or function according to expectations in practice.
The inspections carried out by Bureau Veritas cover a wide range of application areas, and are essentially aimed at checking quality, quantity and the degree of conformity with applicable legislation and rules.
CERTIFICATION
From our role as an independent certification body, we certify nationally and internationally operating organizations based on recognised management system standards. These cover a wide range of themes, including quality, safety, health and well-being, environment, information security and personal data protection, energy management, food and animal feed safety and corporate social responsibility.
In addition, our services also include certification according to national or international industry and sector-specific standards, and second party or supplier audits.
